As a coach for over 25 years I’ve had some strange requests.
Getting brides in shape for thier wedding day is nothing new.
But I just had an odd experience with a client of mine which I will tell you about in a mo.
She’s a bride to be, in-fact she gets married tomorrow.
Like most brides she wants to look and feel great for her special day.
So we set a realistic target weight and time frame.
The good news is she smashed her target weight.
How did she do it?
She trained hard twice a week with me for the past 6-8 weeks.
No long cardio stints.
And then twice a week, her own light training session no more than 30 minutes.
A walk every day.
Eating clean with cheat days (wine and all the good stuff she likes).
She simply did the work required.
No magic pills.
Anyway, what’s the weird thing?
As a part of her celebrations she asked me to organise a fun training session for her and her friends.
Who I might add, had hangovers from last night.
Simple you may think?
Not really, this took some planning.
With the wedding tomorrow it had to have ZERO risk.
No risk or turning ankles.
No excessive muscle aches the next day as she doesn’t want to limp down the isle.
Even down to avoiding broken nails!
And it had to be fun!
Anyway I pulled it off with not a broken nail in sight and lots of laughs!
Pink sashes and head boppers intact.
Some exercise play, short races, ball games, working with partners.
It’s the kind of training we do all the time at KB3 (minus the pink sashes!)
Afterwards I got invited to have a ‘drink with girls.’
I was even asked to be in the pictures which felt strange!
I’m off to do my nails.
Kettlebell Sport Training tonight at Pleshey 8pm.
Have a good evening.
