Just a quick email before I don my lycra…calm yourself ladies!
I’ve been working since 6am so I’m rewarding myself with a quick bike ride over the lunch period.
I had an early working lunch so I’m not missing out on any meals.
What kind of ride is it going to be?
Its a ‘chill out’ ride.
I will do no more than 15 miles at a steady pace through the country lanes.
It’s more to clear my head, allow my muscles to recover from yesterdays KB session and plan tonights session.
Having some chill out time, or recreational exercise is important.
AN IMPORTANT POINT
The reason I ate earlier is ‘preemptive eating’, because I know if I wait till after my bike ride my blood sugar will drop too low and I will crave sweet things and just want to keep eating.
You know that feeling, when you exercise hard, feel ravenous afterwards.
Eat too much, then feel sick!
Remember, if you need the taste of something, like a sweet, despite being full, that is a craving and means your bodies chemistry is out.
We’ll touch some more on this.
Preemptive eating is great strategy to control cravings for food, especially if you work a long day.
Don’t wait till you are hungry!
