I’ve had a good morning today.
Getting up at 5am to train with Ray at 6am I found tough.
Probably like you as the week goes on I do get tired and need a bit more beauty sleep.
“Russ, you don’t need it!”
Anyway, why did I have a good morning?
I had a new KB convert who did really well and I had a client of mine, Chris, said something really nice today. She’s just come back from a break in the sun.
She simply said, “I wore a bikini for the first time.” (Please note Chris is short for Christine in this instance!)
Fantastic words to hear. No mention of weight, running, blood pressure, body composition.
Like many of us Chris has struggled in the past but she made good with the 19 day plan and continues train hard once or twice per week with me.
She doesn’t beat herself up if she has a drink or a meal out. Just everything in moderation.
I often get very honest requests when I coach people. It’s not always about 6 packs and olympic performances.
“I don’t want to be so breathless”
“My daughters graduation is in a few months, I want to fit into a special dress”
“I want to be able to play football with my kids”
These are just a few recent requests I’ve had.
There was the guy I mentioned in last weeks email who nearly lost his eye. Finding a solution around a problem.
What’s different about them is they aren’t comparing themselves to anybody else, its something much more personal.
