Gold & Silver Medals…& McDonalds Part 1…

I feel like I’ve been beaten up.

Over the weekend I took a team of KB3 Kettlebell athletes up to the English Kettlebell Champions in Manchester.

Lee, Ray, Darren, Russ B, Hywel and myself…Team Essex!

We competed with 110 other athletes in the Biathlon.  10 minutes of jerks, followed by 10 minutes of snatching.

I was proud as punch as we picked up 3 Golds and 3 Silvers in our respective categories. (see picture below).

All of us smashed our personal bests.

It’s one of the toughest things they have done both physically and mentally.

What’s great is that they are just normal guys with families and day jobs…like you and me.

Infact, a couple of us are knocking on the other side of 40’s and 50’s.

Yet they held their own next to people a lot younger than them.

It just goes to show you that age is no barrier.

How did they do it?

I will let you know tomorrow.

A big well done to all of them again and thanks to Katie, Luke and Emily for coming all the way up to Manchester to support us.

I’m off to plan tonights HIIT training session.

Have a good day.

ps.  I will make my confession tomorrow!

We will now be starting a dedicated sport training session every other week.  Watch this space.
