My friend Matt has been training with me, with his lovely wife Jen (I think she fancies me).
Now Matt has turned himself around.
Admitedly he isnt built like a gymnast…… more like an angry 6’5 viking!
Matt and Jen nailed the 19 day program, with Matt losing a record 20 Ibs.
Of course he put a bit back on.
Life is full of stresses and temptations but he got himself back on track.
But he uses the program as its meant to be used, as an educational tool.
He now knows what can happen if you just eat regular healthy food.
No pills, no potions or powders.
He relaxes on the weekend, has a few beers and enjoys his food, as food is meant to be enjoyed.
Balance and perspective.
Now Matt is my only freuqent user of the 28kg Kettlebell.
He’s an animal with it.
I think he also eats small children as a snack afterwards.
While training Matt the other day he said something to me which took me by surprise.
After losing an additional 2 stone he just said, “Im thinking of giving up booze completely.”
Now this wasn’t prompted by me.
Rather than acting like a cheer leader and giving him a hug, I asked him why?
He simply said…
“I could drink 10 pints in a night, but I’m fed up of feeling crap in the morning.”
“It costs me a fortune and I feel really good at the moment.”
I text him the next day saying that if he wanted someone to help him along, I’d do it too!
Many of you know I like a drink as much as the next person, so Matt and I have agreed to support each other and go cold turkey from Monday.
But more than that we’re going to be posting how we are getting on.
We’re going to have a few rules as there will be holidays, special occasions, parties and events.
If you’d like to join us or see how we are getting on I’ll send the link in the next email.
