The broccoli sausage

I hope you had a great Christmas and Boxing Day.
You’re probably feeling pretty full.
I’ve expanded suddenly too!
Personally I’m looking forward to doing some kettlebell training tomorrow.
9:30am at Pleshey and working off a few calories.
Anyway…A Broccoli Sausage!!!
What are you talking about Russell?
No I haven’t finally cracked.
What has this got to do with kettlebells or training of any kind?
Let me explain…
If I put a sausage and a  piece of broccoli down in front of my kids, which one would they eat?
I’m pretty sure they’d go for the sausage most of the time.
…don’t tell lies, you’d do it too!
Not the healthiest choice.
A ‘broccoli’ sausage?
All that goodness wrapped up in a fun tasty sausage.
Problem solved.
Thats what I try to do in my emails.
You may have noticed over the past 18 months I’ve been sending out a lot more emails.
  • Information.
  • Trying to help.
  • Stimulate a thought or to motivate you to do something.
But I wrap it up in a story or something thats going on in my life or someone I know.
I always try to put a smile on your face, get a laugh or just write something entertaining.
That way the message is easier to come across and understand.
Hence…the broccoli sausage.
Most of you train with me on a regular basis, so its the very least I can do.
It’s a part of the service.
Because lets face it, I could do ‘coach talk’.
Body fat percentages, metabolism, physiology, pictures of my biceps.
Yes this stuff is important and I do talk about it.
But I’d bore myself and you to death with it.
(Although pictures of my biceps do look good!).
Some people don’t like emails.
Thats ok.
Some times I press a nerve, create some guilt or make them angry.
But if it helps someone or encourage them to drink less, eat better, exercise more then it’s done it job.
You’re getting this email because you train with me, or you’re thinking about it.
I’ll be continuing to keep on writing because it’s all part of the service!
Have a great day.
